It is time to break out Packing for Travel and review our handy packing tips for summer travel 2024. Of all of the advice in the book, this tends to be a little controversial. We receive lots of “how can you just pack three shoes!!??” Well actually, you can do it simply and with style. It goes back to our #1 Rule of Packing – pack in a color scheme. Everything blends, everything goes. In summer, for me, it is a neutral palette. We are traveling to Cannes on the 4th of July (more about this later) and I am already working on the list!
I love Stuart Weitzman shoes for their comfort and style. Try to find rubber soled shoe but when you can’t, take the shoes to your cobbler and have rubber put on soles and heels, it makes them so much more comfortable.
And don’t forget to pack a Friction Stick. No more swelling on overnight flights.
One gal’s midheel is another’ high shoes. Midheels can take many forms. I love the platform slides, which could also be your “high” shoe at a beach resort.
I have recently discovered these Vaseline Sticks, which I use all over when my skin gets dry.
One gal’s high heel is another’s impossible heel. I am glad that block heels are in the selection.
