Each year, Women’s Project Theater recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of women from the worlds of entertainment, business, and philanthropy at the Women of Achievement Awards Gala. The 2014 Gala will be held at Mandarin Oriental New York on Monday, March 10, 2014. Brilliantly Chaired by Lucia Hwong Gorden, the event will honor luminaries in the fields, Arianna Huffington and Joan Vail Thorne. Now in its 36th year, the award-winning WPT is the nation’s oldest and largest company dedicated to producing and promoting plays written and directed by women. Chita Rivera, Eve Ensler, Whoopi Goldberg, Estelle Parsons, Gloria Steinem, Vanessa Redgrave, and Laurie Anderson are a few of the illustrious honorees.
