“This fair is multiplicitous in ways that few others are anymore. . . with an ardent mix-it-up spirit that was once called eclectic and is now called postmodern.”
—Holland Cotter, The New York Times
The Winter Antiques Show is now in its 59th year as the most prestigious antiques show in America, once again featuring the “best of the best” of antique pieces dating up to the 1960s. The show opens to lucky guests on Thursday, January 24th at 5:00pm with the Opening Night Party, an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and gorgeous antiques at the Park Avenue Armory. Guided and curated by Winter Antiques Show Committee Chairman Arie L. Kopelman, Vice Chairs Lucinda C. Ballard and Michael R. Lynch, Special Events Committee Chair Mrs. Ronald W. Donnem and Vice Chairs Martha Vietor Glass, Helen French Kippax and Mrs. J. Michael Loening, the Opening Night Party will shine as always as one of our favorite nights out of the year. The Show officially opens on January 25, and will continue through February 3 at the Park Avenue Armory. A portion of the Show’s proceeds go to benefit East Side House Settlement, one of NYC’s oldest social service organizations. Go to WinterAntiquesShow.com to purchase tickets to the Opening Night Party or the Winter Antiques Show itself. For more information, call 718.292.7392, or email [email protected].
We had an absolute ball on SAKS.com putting together these four stunning outfits in ultra-arty cocktail attire for the Winter Antiques Show Opening Night Party or the Young Collectors Night. No matter which ensemble you choose, you will have no trouble impressing even the most sophisticated of antique connoisseurs. To accessorize, we chose bags, earrings, and shoes each with a little something extra, from the Manolo Blahnik Lace and Satin Pumps to the striking Patent Leather Bow Clutch by Valentino, to the Oscar de la Renta earrings that we can’t get enough of.
