“Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.” Read it’s rich history at Masters.com.

It is best to remember that attendees to The Masters are guests of the club. Behavior, dress, and demeanor should reflect the respect and traditions that make the event so special. Here are some tips.
TOP 10 DO’s and DONT’S for the MASTERS
#1. DO Dress Comfortably.
This J. McLaughlin Dress is absolutely perfect for the greens, add a belt and cardigan and you have a stylish and sporty look for watching, or playing. And while you could wear slacks, skirt, skort or shorts this dress has it all for style and comfort and is fresh as the fairway.
#2. DON’T Wear Jeans.
Another great look from J. McLaughlin, perfect for teeing off in style.
#3. DO Dress in Layers Tuck a sweater in your bag or throw it over your shoulders to ward off a sudden chill. Don’t forget to go to Weather.com for the latest update. A pashmina or wrap is always a good idea for spring dressing.
#4. DO Wear Comfortable Shoes. I have several of these Marc Joseph Golf Shoes and they are super comfy and go from the fairway to Fairway Market.
#5. DO Bring a Bag Not Larger Than 10″ x 10″x 12.” This small tote is the perfects size to pass inspection and so handy for slipping in your sunscreen, sunglasses, binoculars and all the other approved essentials.
#6. Don’t bring Camera, Cell Phones, or Electronic Devices. Did we mention Augusta National is a bastion of long-standing traditions? Bravo!
#7. DO Wear a Hat. We recommend Eric Javits packable for maximum wearability and foldability. This hat has been around the world with me and looks good on everyone.
#8. DO Bring Binoculars For people and player watching and yes, to follow that tiny white ball.
#9. DO Wear Sunglasses
#10. Don’t Bring Food Alcohol of Any Kind. The Masters is not a picnic spot. The Club has many opportunites for refreshment on the ground. Small folding chairs, however, are allowed.
#11 Do Enjoy The Excitement and Watch The Drama Unfold.
According to Golf Channel, “For the 2026 Masters, top players to watch include favorites Scottie Scheffer, Jon Rahm, and Bryson DeChambeau, alongside defending champion Rory McIlroy and young star Ludvig Åberg. Xander Schauffele is also a major contender with high form, while veterans like Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama, and Cameron Smith remain threats.”
