What to wear to Fashion Week? Although I am currently working remotely in the sunny south and looking forward to live streaming the Fashion Week Shows. I miss the excitement of the weeks spent dashing about the city at a frenzied pace and running through the slushy streets in stilettos. Our approach to fashion has always been practical, especially in February, I start with a LBD and layer to suit the weather.
First step is a great LBD that can transition throughout the day and into the night. Alice & Olivia makes an easy well-priced knitted first layer. It will look as fresh at the end of the day as at the start.
Alice + Olivia Knit Bodycon Dress $295
Next stop, the shoe department at Saks for a comfortable yet stylish pair of shoes or boots. Love these Moschino block heels – the platform makes them comfortable and lends a little height.
But if you are looking for something a little less extreme, kitten heels are never out of style.
The Row Leather Almond Toe Pumps $920
Or block heeled boots for cozy warmth, then have a great lug sole for traction.
AllSaints Patent Leather Boot $429
Next you need a stylish tote, to carry all of your essentials. I travel heavy with my laptop so need a roomy one.
Chloé Marcie Leather Tote $2,190
This jacket is a timeless treasure worth the investment.
L’AGENCE Leather Jacket $1,450
A great wrap to keep your neck warm and add a little pizzazz.
Isabel Wool-Cashmere Scarf $490
Celine must-have shades of the season.
I am mad about Vintage Chanel Jewelry from The Real Real.
Chanel Vintage Floral Clip On $595
NYFW Venue: RXR’s Starrett Lehigh Building
And to top it all off, a cozy puffer coat! This Herno is lightweight and oversized.
Or you might prefer a more fitted style, this belted Mackage is wonderfully flattering.
Mackage Coralia Down Belted Puffer Coat $990
