I am in the thick of Fiesta in San Antonio, Texas. Each year the Order of the Alamo honors Texas’ struggle for independence by electing a Queen to reign over San Antonio’s Fiesta celebrations and have a Coronation ceremony with the full Court . Each Court member or Duchess, wears an elaborate dress and tiara with trains spangled with glittering beads, crystals and jewels. A tradition that began in 1909, this year the theme is Magic of Morocco. My friend Francie Mannix is the Mistress of the Robes and came up with the theme, decor and dress design. It has been a sight to behold!! With bold colors in mind I chose these pieces that would be perfect at any of the many Fiesta festivities. https://fiestasanantonio.org/
Editor’s Note: Since I have heard of Fiesta San Antonio, mostly through Hilary and her friends, it has been on my bucket lists. Steeped in rich Texas history with nights and days of parties, parades and community events, it is a celebration not to be missed! KK
