The Covid Grinch that Stole Christmas

Usually we post a “Comfy Clothes” article in January when days are short and nights are spent reading the cookbooks gifted under the tree, making yummy cold weather food or down south, resting and regrouping from the holidays. But this year, the mean old Covid Grinch has stolen my Christmas – John and I and several friends tested positive right before the holidays. Flights, feasts, family & friends all CANCELLED! Rather than sulk (guilty as charged) I set about setting my sights on some luxurious loungewear and sleepwear to help keep the spirits bright.

For me, the Johnny Was collection is perfect for mix and matching depending on the temperature and mood. I tend to lounge in Pajamas and Robe but sleep in a short nightgown. If traveling, I save space by packing the Nightgown and Pajama Top that acts as a robe.

I discovered this brand Averie which has some bright contemporary prints. And the mask and scrunchy combo are great for gifting.

Who doesn’t love the seductive luxury of la Perla. Their pink palette is divine!

I asked Hilary what she prefers for sleeping and lounging, “I sleep in a night gown. Preferably short and sleeveless! Always hot LOL! My favorite is the Betty Nightie Dress by Mrsgrayhome.com To lounge … what is that? At home I wear jeans and a cotton shirt. In Palm Beach, a caftan or easy dress.” To find ultra soft choices, we shopped J. Crew’s collaboration with Petite Plume which was inspired by the desire to create sophisticated and comfortable sleepwear in the most exquisite cotton available.

We also found this star studded collection at J. Crew. It seems perfect for the holidays.

My daughter in law, Meghan Klopp weighs in, “I am a fan of pajama sets to bed. I wear Eberjey but people also like ones from La Ligne

What to wear for Covid. Eberjay sleepwear.
