Ubuntu AfricaWhat to wear to to a Festive Blue Jean Ball?  In her “spare time”, our friend and fellow blogger Doni Belau, Founder of Girls’ Guide to Paris, co-founded Ubuntu Africa to serve HIV-positive children in South Africa. On Friday, June 1 they will celebrate their 5th Anniversary in a big way, and we’ll be there in our blue-jean finest at Sleepy Hollow Country Club comes alive!  The casual-chic event will kick off at 7pm with cocktails, and will continue well into the evening with dinner, an auction, and dancing with live music by Current Affair.

We went shopping at Nordstrom to find this fresh and fun strapless cocktail dress by Milly, great all summer long for day or night, and paired it with this Elizabeth and James denim jacket to capture the Festive Cocktail Blue Jean theme perfectly.  The Michael Kors wedge sandals were a no-brainer for a party that starts on the lawn, and a must-have this season.  We are loving the faux horn accessories right now – this Natasha Couture necklace is just too cool, and what a great price-point.  We topped it all off with some sparkle in these hoop earrings, bangles, and a cute little clutch by Lauren Merkin.  You’ll show up looking so fun and effortlessly in-theme, ready to dance the night away.
