We are so excited to for the 10th Annual Tribeca Film Festival this week. Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff founded the Tribeca Film Festival in 2001 following the attacks on the World Trade Center to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan  through an annual celebration of film, music and culture. Whoppi Goldberg welcomes you on their website,  which is the most comprehensive platform to discover everything The Festival has to offer.  For information, schedules, events, panels and talk, live streaming, and films on demand, please go to Tribeca Film Festival.com.

This year’s Opening Night is a screening of Cameron Crowe’s documentary, The Union which chronicles the making of the 2010 album “The Union”, a collaboration between pop icon Elton John and legendary rock ‘n’ roll keyboardist Leon Russell.  To shop for what to wear to the Tribeca Film Festival and events during this 10 day festival, we went off to shop at Net-A-Porter. We put together two “downtown ensembles”.   The first look is a star-studded Opening Night Outfit,  channeling Hollywood glamor with a neutral Alice and Olivia halter jumpsuit paired with beaded accessories from this trendy jacket to the tribal-like jewels.

Left to Right: Alice & Olivia Belted Silk-blend Halterneck Jumpsuit ($400), John Hardy Large Marquise Drop Earrings ($795), By Malene Birge Urita Embellished Ramie Jacket ($645), Rosantica Poseidone Zoisite Bracelet ($275), DVF Philomena Studded Snake-Print Leather Clutch ($425), Jimmy Choo Miles Leather and Mesh Sandals ($895)

We also love this versatile jersey Catherine Malandrino jumpsuit that take you from day to night. Swap the sash for this waist-cinching Stella McCartney belt to feminize this harem-pant look.  Simply add a white blazer, jewels and heels to get you into the evening groove. Mix-and-match accessories from both looks to create your own take on what to wear to a film festival.
