We were thrilled when Nicole Miller shared her choisest travel trips with us.  Nicole is a modern icon in the field of fashion – her CV does not even scratch the surface of her vast accomplishements and success that Nicole Miller, both the brand and the woman has achieved.   She is a dedicated conservationist and philanthropist who has raised funds and awareness for many organizations including RIVERKEEPER, and Rocky Mountain Institute.  She is also a phenomenal athlete, as at home on a terrifying  Double Black Diamond slope as blithely skimming the water on a slalom ski.   Nicole travels extensively for both work and fun with great gusto for every adventure and a Parisienne’s passion for food.

ABOUT NICOLE MILLER Known for her signature graphic prints and innovative silhouettes, Nicole Miller is an iconic American designer with a modern, ageless aesthetic. With a degree in fine arts from The Rhode Island School of Design and a degree from l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne in Paris, Nicole Miller combines her art training with couture technique. Nicole Miller’s creations have garnered a loyal following of celebrity fans including Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé, and Blake Lively, amongst others.  Nicole is a CFDA board member, and has been the recipient of numerous industry awards such as the Legend of Fashion Award (2006), Fashion Group International  Lifetime Achievement Award (2012), and the Visionary Woman Award (2014).

Why do you like to travel?  Traveling is always so inspiring. I love going to places I haven’t been and seeing foreign cultures.

Favorite Familiar Places?  I still always like going back to  St. Barth. It always feels a like home, partly because I am half French, but having been there so many times it is always very comforting to be back. I also love going to Tulum and San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. We also take frequent ski trips.

Where would you like to go next?  There are a lot of places on my bucket list though – Punta del Este, Fiji, Vietnam and Cuba of course. There are too many exciting places to go!

I don’t leave home without . . . .  For any trip I have to take all my gadgets and chargers. I always read the New York Post on my iPhone so that is a must, and I like to download new books on my iPad for traveling. I also have a supply of Celtic salt and Tabasco that I bring with me, and I always have a pile of Paper Mate SharpWriters – I have to be prepared when the inspiration for my next collection comes!
