What to wear to the most exciting fashion forward luncheon of the season? The Couture Council of The Museum at FIT will honor Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories collections for Dior, with its 2022 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion at a luncheon on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. Heralding the arrival of New York Fashion Week, the annual fall event benefits MFIT, New York’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the art of fashion.
What to wear? The generous presenting sponsor is Nordstrom. And to our delight, we found some of the best transitional fashion of the season there. Crisp black and white is a natural for September when temperatures are usually quite high but turning the calendar page signals back-to-city and back-to-work. All of the fashionista will be flocking to Lincoln Center to celebrate the kick off to New York Fashion Week. We shopped for styles appealing to different tastes, from a classic sheath to a crinkled leather, mini to maxi and demure to body con cut-out.
