Just as I was compiling our list of Great White Shirts for summer, we ran into this super great new polo line from K.P. MacLane and fell in love. We are great fans of the polo but have been discovering lately by the unworn pile in our drawers that a flattering polo is hard to find. Enter Katherine Petty MacLane and Jared MacLane, who met while working for Hermès and set out to “create an exceptional USA-made brand that combines the traditions of European fashion with American craftsmanship.” We are happy to announce that they have succeeded. In both styling and fit, this shirt shirt is exceptional. Its cut is slim but not tight, and with the beautifully crafted placket and ‘self collar’, the shirt looks great under a cardigan. It works just as well at home on the tennis court or golf course as dressed up for the office.
