Ready, set, go! The countdown to the ING New York City Marathon has begun! The event has come a long distance since 1970 when only 55 runners finished. Now over 43,000 runners enter each year, gathering at the Staten Island starting line this year on Sunday, November 4. The Rudin Family, who are longtime supporters of the marathon, will be on-hand to present the Samuel Rudin Trophy, a silver tray designed by Tiffany & Co. For detailed information, more history, race routes, viewing stands or to watch the race live, please visit ING New York City Marathon.
