This year we hit the streets of New York to explore the gorgeous holiday fashion displays of 5th Avenue’s elite stores. From the traditional to the avant-garde, we were inspired by the incredible technology and classic styles that are featured. Our Christmas Card to our readers, watch our video to get a taste of what’s on display, and have a wonderful Holiday!
Bergdorfs followed the Jazz Age trend this year with their stunning display titled, “BG Follies of 2012”. Barneys chose a Disney theme for their “Electric Holiday” display, which includes an animated fashion show of Minnie and Mickey Mouse and some of fashion’s elite. Inspired by the snowflake, Saks’ “Snowflake and the Yeti” display is full of surprises with their 3D projections on the building and a variety of snow themed windows including animation and glamorous fashion. This year’s Tiffany’s windows celebrate holiday moments with whimsical scenes of an Upper East Side Brownstone. Inspired by The Great Gatsby, Bendels followed the trendy Roaring 20s with their stunning window which displays a staircase full of gifts. Finally, Bloomingdale’s windows are inspired by “Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away”, coming to theatres on December 21.
