As we say goodbye to 2024, we would like to share some of our favorite posts with you, not in any particular order. Many of them are from our archives at New York Social Diary. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did presenting them.
Hilary and I kicked off a year long celebration of our 15th year, publishing What2WearWhere. Lily Holt and Melanie Holland helped us set the stage but planning a luncheon at The Bal Harbour Axcess Pop up Shop in West Palm. The food by was superb, if yo haven’t been there, we highly recommened it, opened until January 15 – the shopping is divine!
Our article in New York Social Diary in early December announcing our excitement of the inagural Miracle Palm Beach, in to join Miracle on Madison all to benefit MSK Kids, the pediatric initiatives of The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. There were so many generous vendors who signed up, and of course shoppers who came out, to make the day a huge success. Bravo!
It was a thrill to be involved with the first cycle for survival palm beach another initiative of The Society Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Along with co chairs, Catherine Carey and Sarah Wetenhall and against the heavenly pink background of the Colony Hotel Palm Beach, bikers of all sizes and shapes came together to support the cause.
Hilary celebrated in great Texas style at Fiesta San Antonio, a historic event that has transformed into a grand cultural weekend. Today, the spectacle has grown into the annual community ritual that blends culture, history, food and music into a pageant of epic proportions.
In June, we celebrated the 25th Mashomack International Polo Challenge, an event near an dear to my heart. We welcomed Team Philippines and watch them battle victoriously for the cup to 500 fans under the tent and 1000 tailgaters.
Our most recent article in Social Diary was Aspen Snow Polo, a week of sport and revelry. Aspen Valley Polo Club owners Melissa and Marc Ganzi hosted the world-class event which has joined St. Moritz as one of the world’s top snow polo tournaments and one of Aspen’s major international sporting events. In addition, it claims the trophy as the only snow polo tournament in North America. Melissa’s enthusiasm is contagious: “Aspen is the most magical place, with incredible things to experience, mix in snow polo and Aspen becomes an even more unique travel destination!”
Loved the Christmas Issue of Quest this year with Adam & Megan and pals hamming for the camera. It was shot at our beloved Smithfield Farms which is on the market, so it was a bit of bittersweet.
