Looking for a new everyday sport watch, we noticed this cool looking line of sport watches at Bloomingdales. I thought the name was a little catchy so I did a little research and discovered a great American story. Shinola, based in Detroit and dedicated to producing American-made products, including watches, bicycles, leather goods, and journals of the highest possible quality. Anyone remember the old expression, “You don’t know sh*t from Shinola”? Never quite made sense, so I I went to Wikipedia to find that Shinola was an American brand of shoe polish started in 1929. Now we know. The present day Shinola has an charming website, if you have the time to lose your self in old-fashion values for a few minutes!
