Dear Friends,
For once in the last many years, I am ready for September! I think it is the unseasonably chilly weather (yes, I love the high temps) that makes me want to get on with it. There are all of the exciting events upcoming in the season. I hope you saw our article in New York Social Diary on the Couture Council Museum at FIT’s Artistry of Fashion Award, the kick off to New York Fashion Week. And then there is lots of catching up with friends, unseen during the summer and finding out what is new and now. We will be posting on the trends for fall to keep you up to date in style. As you know, our advice is chic yet practical – just want you want to wear as you go about your busy lifestyle, whether it is to the gym or gala. This season marks our 10th Anniversary and we will be celebrating madly – stay tuned for more on that. When we began What2WearWhere, we were among the first to feature “event dressing” and “see now buy now.” Even Vogue came later with its What to Wear Where column – imitation being the sincerest form of flattery. In all this time our mission has been unwavering, We take the guesswork out of dressing, the leg work out of shopping and the panic out of packing! And speaking of packing, the last few weeks have been spent updating our book Packing for Travel and preparing to make it available online. So there has been spurts of intense concentration on the project mixed with lovely bouts of enjoying the last days of summer. Now bring on the new season!
