The 2012 Pratt Institute Fashion Show will be honoring fashion icon Fern Mallis on Thursday, April 26th as this years recipient of the Pratt Institute Fashion Industry Lifetime Acheivement Award, Presented by Calvin Klein. Fern is creator of New York Fashion Week, former Executive Director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America , and former Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion. Fern has inspired and encouraged so many young designers throughout her career in fashion, it is a most deserved tribute. The show spotlights Pratt Institute’s senior class of fashion designers, presenting stunning, original looks for women and men in a runway show attended by fashion-industry leaders, critics, and cognoscenti. This stylish evening of fashion generates significant funds that benefit student scholarships and the Pratt Institute Department of Fashion Design. Funding for the 2012 Pratt Fashion Show was awarded in part through a competitive grant presented to Pratt Institute by the Importer Support Program of the Cotton Board and managed by Cotton Incorporated.
