On Thursday, February 7, the New York City Ballet 2013 Annual Luncheon at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater will begin at 11:00 am with a special onstage program exploring the media’s portrayal of ballet, followed by a 12:30 luncheon on the Promenade. With the guidance of Chairmen Allison Aston, Donya Bommer, Kristin Kennedy Clark, and Darren Henault, and featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, this will be a not-to-be-missed event. For what to wear to a ballet luncheon, we pirouetted over to Bergdorf Goodman to find this abstract masterpiece by Lela Rose. Love the shrug for a little coziness if it is chilly in the theater. For accessories, we chose this luxurious metallic lambskin Lanvin clutch with a lovely bow detail, and gorgeous Rockstud Studded-Heel Pumps by Valentino. Because of the variability of the weather in February, we tend to wear mostly closed-toed shoes this time of year, even though our feet are yearning for some fresh air. For the jewelry, we couldn’t resist the soft elegance of the Stephen Dweck Floral-Carved Clip Earrings, and you can never go wrong with YSL jewelry, which here ties together so beautifully with the colors in the dress. This brightly chic ensemble is absolute perfection for a delightful afternoon at the ballet among the stars.
