Iconic Roles is the theme of this year’s New York City Ballet Luncheon on Tuesday, February 7.   We won’t be late for the 11:15am Program on Stage, followed by Luncheon on the Promendade of the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.   This luncheon is a highlight of the winter season in the city as the extraordinary panel of dancers discuss how they approach these symbolic roles for the first time, and make them their own.  Highlights of the program will include excerpts from Apollo, Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet as well as archival film footage.   Our friend and Chair, Darren Henault along with Maria-Cristina Anzola,  Donya Bommer, Kristin Kennedy Clark and Sharon Jacobs join Peter Martins in welcoming the stylish group of balletomanes who assemble for the rare visual and intellectual experience.  For what to wear to a luncheon, we took our inspiration from the beautiful teal blues of the invitation and went shopping at Bergdorf Goodman to find these two ensembles that will make a grand entrance.
