The Boys’ Club of New York Fall Ball is an evening of philanthropic panache as the charming and creative Chairmen, Mrs. Louis M. Bacon, Mrs. Averell H. Mortimer, Mrs Edward D. Kaplan, Mrs. Claude Wasserstein and Mrs. Charles Ayres transform The Pierre Hotel into a spectacle of fall’s festive finery. The magic of the harvest begins at 7:30pm with an elegant cocktail reception, followed by a delightful seasonal dinner, and enchanted dancing under the moon lit shadows of the night.
In 1876, philanthropist and entrepreneur E.H. Harriman founded New York City’s first Boys’ Club to provide inner-city boys with a safe haven. Today in three clubhouses and a camp, BCNY provides high-quality programming to over 4,000 New York City boys. Over 75 percent of members live in households at or below the poverty level.
