Well I would be remiss in my role as Chair, if I didn’t do a bit of promotion for our 17th Annual Mashomack Polo International Challenge and Luncheon. This prestigious event attracts over 500 patrons and marks the official start of the summer social season in Millbrook. It is a wonderful day of sport bringing guests from New York City and the Tri-State area to spend the day in the countryside and experience “The Sport of Kings.” Children who attend are being treated to their own activities, including the International Parade of Flags and a Petting Zoo. What to wear to a fieldside luncheon, we were intrigued by these Diane von Furstenberg with a tribal feel in a beautiful palette for summer. Whether you go long or short you will want to wear some great looking wedges for walking on the grass and “Stomping Divets” between chukkars of the exciting play. Make sure that the length of the dress is right for you and don’t let your long dress touch the ground. For something elegantly casual like this, we would recommend a hem at or above the ankle. To accessorize, we went a little crazy shopping the natural elements of bone. We cannot get enough of it for our summer go-tos.
