Ladies, strap on your stilettos and get ready for the next two Saturdays’ Madison Avenue’s Walk in the Park, to benefit the Central Park Conservancy. On Saturday, October 13 from 11 am – 3 pm, 15 premier shoe-related boutiques on Madison will host a “Cinderella Saturday,” where when you shop for new shoes, you may be one of the lucky ones to win a free pair! Each participating store will make a donation to CPC in total amounting to $25,000. Participating stores are located on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets: Bally, Barneys New York, Calvin Klein, Charlotte Olympia, CH Carolina Herrera, Devi Kroell, DKNY, Fogal, Galo Shoes, Jimmy Choo, Longchamp, Max Mara, Porsche Design, Stuart Weitzman, and Stubbs & Wootton. Then, on Saturday, October 20 at 11 p.m., a 1/4 mile high-heeled “Walk in the Park” will commence at 11am led by those fancy-footed shoe brands and registered “walkers” who donated $25 or more to benefit CPC. The Central Park Conservancy was founded in 1980 by a group of dedicated civic and philanthropic leaders. They were determined to end Central Park’s dramatic decline in the 1970s and restore it to its former splendor as America’s first and foremost major urban public space.
