Our equestrienne friend, Marion deVogel and Rowena Gill have created an incredible line of “Casually chic ladies ready-to-wear for urban and country settings”. La Chasse is the inspiration of a couturier and a businesswoman who saw an opportunity to bring elegant ladies sportswear to their lifestyles in Millbrook, New York. Rowena Gill, the English born and Paris-trained couturier and Marion de Vogel, marketing executive in New York City and avid equestrian met over a jacket. Their shared passion for exquisite fabrics as well as their exacting eye for detail and craftsmanship inspired them to develop what they could not find in today’s fashion arena: elegant ladies ready-to-wear for country settings and city sidewalks.
Utilizing the best wools from England, cashmere, the famously durable waxed cotton, and mole-skin, Rowena and Marion have created a collection of luxurious jackets, car coats and outerwear for active women who demand high-style and great usability, but who don’t want to sacrifice elegance or femininity. Designed in Rowena’s Millbrook studio and manufactured in New York City, each La Chasse design is put to the test in the field by Marion before earning a place in the seasonal collections.
Presented in Millbrook, New York in June at the Wethersfield Estate. The occasion was also a benefit kicking-off the campaign to build a Cross Country Schooling Course for area professionals and their students.
