Best of luck to all our friends in LA who are involved with this delicious event! Sunday, November 6th will be the Second Annual L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade hosted by Chef Suzanne Goin & Caroline Styne, along with Chef David Lentz and Honorary Hosts, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. The event will take place on the lawn of the historic Culver Studios Mansion and once again bring culinary greats together to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. In addition to the fabulous food and drinks, the event will feature an exciting live and silent auction, as well as a raffle. For information and tickets, please go to LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade.
For what to wear to a “Decadent Chef’s Cookout”, we like the “California Casual” that we shopped at Nordstrom. Start with a great pair of jeans, either boot cut or toothpick, add an of-the-moment soft pussy-bow blouse and either the DVF Ankle Boot or the absolute to-die-for Jimmy Choo Two Tone Pumps. Top it off with a supple leather blazer and our current obsession – Valentino Crossbody Bag. This cool look works and plays from coast to coast.
Left to Right: Vince Camuto Sleeveless Tie Neck Print Blouse ($39), Joe’s Boot-cut Stretch Denim Jeans ($169), Rachel Zoe Leather Jacket ($695), Valentino Samll Crossbody Bag ($1395), Jimmy Choo Two Tone Platform Pump ($850), DVF Ankle Boot ($335), Bobeau Tie Hem Chiffon Blouse ($58), 7 For All Mankind Stretch Denim Jeans ($169)
This incredible organization was started by Alex Scott in Philadelphia. She was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, and was four when she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure.
The Generous Committee.
