Fans and friends came out in support of Palm Beach Crew at the elegant boutique of Jennifer Tattanelli on Worth Avenue last night. The team spoke of the camaraderie and sportsmanship that the demanding sport encourages. They credited their coach, Susan Saint Sing for encouraging their passion for rowing. Susan, has competed in and coached rowing college and national and was a member of the 1993 U.S. World Rowing Team. As an authority on rowing history, as witnessed in her book The Wonder Crew, The Untold Story of A Coach, Navy Rowing and Olympic Immortality. With her extensive experience in the field, she observes. “Rowing is a non-contact, non-impact sport – perfect for young, developing bodies. They are following a tradition of excellence-learning balance, timing, teamwork – the qualities they will take with them into their future endeavors.” Susan reported that covid has almost decimated the number of rowers on PBC due to lack of events. She and the team are seeking new recruits as well as some funding for the program.

Born in Florence, Italy and raised in a bilingual home, Jennifer Tattanelli has devoted her entire life to crafting and designing fashion, representing the voice of a new generation of young, talented Florentine leather stylists.
From a young age, Jennifer was fascinated with her heritage, always researching her great-grandfather, world-renowned pathologist Dr. James Ewing, and her great-great uncle Samuel Clemens – also known as Mark Twain, the author of American literary classics The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Being a child model, she was always surrounded by fashion and quickly developed her own personal style. Between her summers in the Hamptons with her grandmother June, a well-known folk art collector, marveling at the fantastic works adorning the house and watching her mother create fabulous theatrical costumes, Jennifer was soaking it all in. These influences are what make Jennifer such a groundbreaking designer – one who can cater to any taste.
