Just as we were going to look for a new spring bag, I received an email ‘How to Spot a Fake: Tips from Portero’s Elizabeth Bernstein. So I went to the site, which sells vintage bags, and had a blast shopping. Their site and makes it easy to shop for you your heart’s desire by plugging in a price and a style, and then see what treasures appear. We were shopping for an everyday tote and found quite a few that fit our Spring Bag criteria of a lighter palette, excellent construction, and large enough to hold your everyday needs. Admittedly, the size of our essentials, especially tech items are shrinking, but it is handy to have a bag that is roomy enough to carry your everyday needs – wallet, make up, glasses & sunglasses, phone, tablet, water, etc and not to feel too tight. While it may not be for everyone, vintage shopping is certainly on the rise and gives provides a quality product at a good value. But whatever you do, DON’T BUY FAKES.
