In a town that tickles pink with events and excitement, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Palm Beach Hot Pink Luncheon & Symposium sets the tone for February with heartfelt enthusiasm for the color of love.
BCRF is an organization which traces its roots to Evelyn Lauder’s kitchen table in 1993. In those early days when little was known about breast cancer, Evelyn, her husband Leonard, and Dr.Larry Norton committed themselves to discovering and funding research pathways that would lead to better outcomes for patients and eventually a cure.
The organization’s purpose is clear, “Our mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.”
The signature pink ribbon was created by Evelyn and Alexandra Penney of SELF Magazine igniting the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign within The Estée Lauder Companies.

And what is Hilary wearing? “It was such fun to shop hot pink for what2wearwhere . . . a hue I don’t usually seek out. But the color is so perfect for Palm Beach and such a symbol of this amazing cause. I see these pieces at lunch or dinner. Or just add a hot pink accessory or pretty shoe as a nod to Estee Lauder and all the great work she and her company continues to do to spread breast cancer awareness.”
