The Horticultural Society of New York Flower Show Dinner Dance, formerly known as Flowers and Design, will take place Tuesday, April 17th. This year’s efflorescent event will reprise the spirit of The Hort’s famous and historical New York Flower Show and focus on table designs of New York’s finest floral, fashion and interior designers. The Honorees include couturier Lee Anderson, of Lee Anderson Couture; Jewelry Designer James de Givenchy, of Taffin; and legendary American footwear brand Jack Rogers. The 583 Park Avenue venue will be transformed by New York’s finest floral, fashion, and interior designers into a magical setting by creating elaborate designs reflecting this year’s dramatic theme, Couture en Fleur. For a truly special treat, the showing of table designs will be open to the public from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. For tickets and information, please contact Stephanie Chin, [email protected] or 212.757.0915 x101.
The what-to-wear to this beautifully blooming event was ready made, with honoree Lee Anderson’s custom made couture clothing that embraces chromatic luxury in world renown fabrics. We chose a strapless floral that is the quintessential party dress for spring and summer, whether indoors at a Flower Show or en plein air at a glorious Garden Party. The dress needs very few embellishments, like Lee’s own Metallic Pumps and some divine jewelry by James de Givenchy of Taffin. Lee will also create a bolero or wrap to warm your shoulders in the verdant night air. Click here to read more about Lee Anderson.
