The Harriman Cup is a fabulous, fun-filled day in the back country of Greenwich and an absolutely not-to-be-missed event for superb polo and people-watching. What2WearWhere.com has been so happy to sponsor The Harriman Cup since my son’s polo days at UVa. This year they are holding the collegial confab at Greenwich Polo Club on Sunday, July 22. The gates open at 1pm and from 1pm until 3pm, a Tour of Brant Foundation Gallery is available. The the Silver Cup Finals Polo Match commences and the Player’s Lounge is open for great food, libations and fun. Apres polo, Pony Bar, Argentine Asado and more live music.
We shopped Veronica Beard for an assortment of festive frocks perfect for sideline spectating. Each has a flourish – ruched and ruffled. This summer, leaving my wedges behind in favor of block heels, for outdoor parties and event.
The Harriman Cup is an annual fundraiser and alumni polo match between the University of Virginia and Yale. For over 3 decade, the Harriman Cup has commemorated the life of diplomat, Polo player, and former New York Governor Averell Harriman. All alumni, family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend – the more the merrier!
