It may only be the Second Annual Frieze New York, but it is already such an exciting component of the vibrant New York art scene in spring. Frieze New York presents the most forward-thinking galleries from around the globe, bringing an international focus to the dynamic contemporary art scene in New York. In addition to being able to see and buy art by over 1,000 of the world’s leading artists, visitors can experience Frieze Projects, the fair’s program of artists’ specially commissioned projects and Frieze Talks, a program of debates, panel discussions and keynote lectures. The fair also includes Frame, a section dedicated to solo artist presentations by emerging galleries and Focus galleries which present curated projects and artworks specially conceived for Frieze New York. The Sculpture Park, located beside the East River’s waterfront, exhibits new selected works by established and emerging artists and is free to the public.
For what to wear when your day could go from morning until night, we went to NET-A-PORTER to find the appropriate arty attire. White Blazers are a must-have this spring and we love the fresh take of this IRO Tuxedo Jacket, paired with comfy and flattering Joseph Gaberdine Leggins. The Fair has asked that you check your large bags at the door, so we chose one of our favorite clutches this spring, Newbark Linen and Suede Clutch with the handy wristband for easy carry. Flats or wedges? Both of these Black Patent choices will keep you stepping lively all day long so you can enjoy the experience of this exciting event.
