Of all of the queries we receive, What to Wear to a Destination Wedding is top of the list. A friend just wrote, “I am attending a wedding on Corsica over Labor Day weekend. I need a long or midi dress preferably with sleeves. Wedding will be at sunset and temps will be around 75 – 80 degrees but gets to upper 60s at night. Any ideas for me?? Or places to look? It’s not formal but “resort elegant”. Thank you so much!“
My response, “Your wedding sounds heavenly. It is an opportunity for women to dress in long and flowing frocks that are so popular right now. Something soft and chiffony works so well. I would probably hem most of the dresses below to show a least the ankle and maybe a little more. Wedges will add height to the effect and are useful on the beach. Add statement earrings and a small bag to complete the casually elegant look”
This fanciful print is interesting.
