On Friday, April 26, 2013, French American Aid For Children will celebrate the 72nd Bal des Berceaux at The Plaza in New York City. This glamorous debutante ball will be held under the high patronage of His Excellency, Mr. François Delattre, Ambassador of France to the United States, and the Consul General of France in New York, Mr. Bertrand Lortholary. Over 350 prominent members of the international New York community come together this spectacular evening to help realize the mission to make “Children Come First.” French American Aid for Children provide financial assistance to selected American and French children’s charities for projects dealing with health, education and the prevention of abuse for information, please go to FAAFC.
For what to wear to a glorious Black Tie evening in the Ballroom of The Plaza, we shopped our go-to site for ball gowns, Bergdorf Goodman to find an elegant one-shouldered, with a two-tone ruffled flourish. We highlighted the contrasting cream and shape of the gown in these Steven Dweck Mother of Pearl Earrings, the graceful scrolls of Alexis Bittar Crystal Cuff, and the sequined Kara Ross Clutch. If there was ever a Cinderella slipper, this clear Valentino bowed beauty is it. But if you are caught on the dance floor at the stroke of midnight, you just may meet your Prince Charming!
