On Wednesday, April 30, the American Museum of Natural History will host the Annual Spring Environmental Lecture and Luncheon. This year, we are particularly excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Museum’s Center for Biodiversity and Conservation which has advanced environmental understanding and biodiversity research and conservation around the world since its founding. In recognition of the CBC’s pioneering work over two decades, this year’s event will focus on efforts to protect biological diversity. This panel discussion, moderated by Lynn Sherr of ABC News’ “20/20,” will celebrate the past 20 years of the environmental conservation movement while considering new strategies for the future. As part of the luncheon, we will also recognize Dr. Eleanor Sterling for her visionary leadership as director of the CBC.After this thought-provoking program, guests will have the opportunity to continue the conversation sparked by the panel discussion and enjoy lunch and the company of good friends and the Event Chairs, Claire Bernard, Katheryn P. Kempner, Catherine B. Sidamon-Eristoff and Constance Spahn in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.
