A Salute to Style is a new twist on the highly celebrated Purses & Pursenalities Luncheon. Madison Square Boys & Girls Club will host its 12th Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Metropolitan Club. The fashion forward Honorees are Vanessa Noel, Peter Thomas Roth, Vhernier Milano and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson. The Stylish Chairs, Mindy Fortin, Sharon Jacob, Karen Klopp, Kathy Prounis and Margot Takian along with the Design Chairs Eric Javits, Nicole Miller, Kim Renke, Sequin, Kara Ross and Amber Sabathia will provide a delightful and insightful program. The funds raised go to programs like SMART Girls works to empower and encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable adolescent girls to develop to their full potential. For what to wear to a charity luncheon, I usually opt for a dress, but I have been inspired by Pant Suits this season and went shopping for some styles. Veronica Beard’s jackets have the most comfortable and fabulous fit, so it was an easy assignment to put together two looks that can be mixed and matched. Slides and Mules are the shoe story this spring, and loving our bi-colored selection of Gucci and Gianvito Rossi. Hilary and I both have fallen in love with Mansur Gavriel bags for their distinctive shape and detailing, add a fantastic pair of shades and you are ready to salute with style . . . to style!
