The nominees for the upcoming 83rd Oscar Academy Awards have been announced today and it is no surprise that actress Natalie Portman is nominated for best actress in a leading role for the character, Nina Sayres, she so flawlessly portrayed in the film Black Swan. Director Darren Aronofsky (whom also picked up a nod for best director) reveals the rather ugly side of the dancing world as he takes us through both the physical and mental challenges a ballet dancer faces when Portman’s role is chosen as the lead in “Swan Lake.” At first glimpse one thinks that she is the almost too perfect pick to depict the delicate White Swan yet we soon realize she is loosing her mind as she becomes more and more like the Black Swan. Portman, has already won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her performance and appears to be the academy favorite. The big question on our mind is, what should Natalie Portman wear to the Oscars? We did a bit of research on Portman’s previous red carpet looks and put together ensemble in a graceful blush hue and paired the look with crystal and pearl accessories. We cannot wait to see who the Academy votes for come Sunday, February 27. For further information please go to Oscar.com
