The New York City Ballet and The School of American Ballet are hosting a family event featuring a performance of George Balanchine’s iconic holiday production of the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center on Saturday, December 11, from 2pm-4pm. The festive affair is hosted by Kathy Drill, Julia Koch and Elizabeth G. Miller and includes a party following the performance with a promenade of the characters from the play. Proceeds from the benefit are distributed equally to The American School of Ballet’s scholarship fund and the New York City Ballet’s education program, helping to enrich young students’ lives by extending arts programs to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to take advantage of such experiences. We chose an outfit in holiday-esque red hues for such a celebration and completed the look with a fur vest, bow-detailed belt, festive earrings and a choice of boots of pumps, to take you through a day at the theater to a luncheon amongst friends, family and sugar plum fairies.
