Wheeeeee Skipperdee! The Plaza is thrilled to announce its partnership with Betsey Johnson to design the hotel’s first official Eloise Christmas Tree for the holiday season. On Monday, November 28 at 5:00pm, The Plaza and Betsey Johnson will host a holiday-themed “Tree Lighting Tea” in The Palm Court to kick off the holiday happenings throughout the hotel. The Betsey designed, Eloise- themed Christmas tree is completely inspired by the precocious Eloise, the heroine of Kay Thompson’s 1955 classic book, and will be the centerpiece of the hotel with its location in the Fifth Avenue foyer. Featuring a combination of sweet and savory seasonal items such as a Scallop Tartlet with American Caviar; Roasted Heirloom Turkey with Cranberry Chutney; Foie Gras Terrine; Spinach and Feta Phylo Napoleon; Gingerbread Men cookies, Peppermint Bark, Red and Green Petit Fours, Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies and a plate for Santa and his reindeer filled with Sugar and Chocolate Cookies and Reindeer Crudites. The limited-time-only Holiday Tea Menu will be available throughout the remainder of the year.
Betsey Johnson Pop Up Shop
Open through January 9th, the shop will boast a carefully curated selection of Betsey Johnson’s most coveted items that are perfect for gift giving this holiday season, such as perfume gift sets, jewelry and watches. The whimsical shop located on the Concourse Level will be decidedly Betsey, with plenty of pink and neon to usher in the holiday spirit!
