The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach will be aglow on Friday, February 8 for the 56th International Red Cross Ball, expertly chaired by Ambassador Mary M. Ourisman and honoring Mrs. Dina Merrill Hartley. Co-Chairmen Paula Butler, Trish Donnelley, Darlene Jordan, Amanda Schumacher, Kathryn Vecellio, and Rhonda Wilkins, along with Honorary Co-Chairmen The Honorable Mary V. Mochary, The Honorable Nancy Nancy Ellison Rollnick, The Honorable William D. Rollnick, and The Honorable Beverly White Yeager have assembled a stunning evening in white tie to celebrate more than half a century of the Red Cross’ amazing work. For questions or more information, please contact Jennifer Durrant, Senior Officer of Special Events, at 561-650-9105 or [email protected].
The designer of the evening will, without a doubt, be Zang Toi, who is dressing Chairman Ambassador Mary M. Ourisman, Honoree Dina Merrill Hartley and her beautiful granddaughters Allegra, Kiera and Sienna Rumbough, as well as our dear friend and Committee Member Jean Shafiroff. Following suit, we chose our own ensemble centered around a stunning Zang Toi abstract creation in Red Cross deep scarlet, black, pink, and orange. For the accessories, we scoured Bergdorf Goodman for the chicest pieces in black and gold. Working from head to toe, Oscar de la Renta’s Beaded Tassle Earrings are an absolute must-have – simultaneously understated and striking, they add the perfect touch to most any evening look. Rachel Zoe’s wide cuff mixes pavé Swarovski crystals, black quartz and brushed gold for a wonderfully glamorous effect on your wrist, and her black snake clutch is divine. For the shoes, you can never go wrong in Jimmy Choos, and these Latin Metallic Leather Sandals are perfection – another go-to for evening.
