Brrrrr! All of a sudden winter is firmly in place. Can snow be far behind? Following up with our 5 MUST-HAVE series, (click here if you missed 5 MUST-HAVE COATS), we are presenting our 5 MUST-HAVE BOOTS FOR WINTER. Keep in mind, you can certainly have more than five, but we started with the basics that every shoe closet should carry. We, once again, are choosing black to simplify the choices and keep it elegant. Leather, Suede, Rubber, whatever your preference, here are our selections from ZAPPOS. We love shopping there because they have free next day delivery and you have up to a year to return, not that you want to take that long to decide. So start shopping to keep your toes toasty all winter long. Please remember when you click through our site to shop, a portion of our commission will be donate to our Charity of the Month.
1. Low Heeled Ankle Boot
This is an everyday height which can be a flat or a wedge or a little bit of a heel. We like to wear these under slacks so choose a style that is high enough so your pants don’t ride up to show your socks – annoying! You can also wear these with tights and a skirt for a bit of attitude.
2. Low Heeled High Boots
Also for everyday. Wear these with slim fitting pants or jeans tucked in, or wear with tights and skirt. Make sure they are comfortable because you will be spending a lot of time in these beauties. We love each one of these.
3. High Heeled Knee High
To pair with dresses or skirts for a long lean look. Love wearing with black tights or stockings, or if the temperature rises a bit, wear with bare legs without looking naked.
4. High Heeled Ankle Boots
Wear these with great black pants and blouse or jacket for an elegant day to night look. We prefer a pant that goes over the boot but you could also wear something slimmer and tuck into the top, especially the Ivanka Trump Anders with a little cuff.
5. Warm and Cosy
We want all of these for different occasions. The UGG Sidonie is great when you want to look stylish in the cold, the UGG Belcloud, I just bought and love them. They will be my city boot when it snows. Ditto the classic Sorel Tofino which can go from city, to country to slopeside with ease. The North Face would is our choice for walking the dog, and running to the store, with it great easy pull-on feature.
