Once again, we present What to Wear to a Polo Match! As the noble steeds are polished to perfection and players fine-tune their swings, anticipation builds for the 26th annual Mashomack International Polo Challenge, where sport, society, and summer style come together in signature fashion. Friends and families gather on and off the field to celebrate the land, the season, and the Sport of Kings.
Having chaired the event for many years, something new is up this year as the young guns have taken over the show and are planning a spectacular day of sport and spectating.
Join us at 3:30 PM for an elegant open bar, light bites, and boutique shopping along the sidelines. The excitement escalates with a grand parade of international flags, led onto the field by the New York State Troopers, followed by the dashing mounted players. After the game, the festivities continue on the dance floor with an authentic Argentine asado, live music, and dancing into the evening.
For what to wear to a stylish country polo match, we first shopped Cara Cara, where we were infatuated with a brown and white palette reminiscent of Julia Child in the 1990 classic, Cinderella romance, Pretty Woman. The shade is having a moment this season as “truffle”, “cocoa”, “chestnut”, and “chocolate”, among other delectables.
