Celebrate fall’s glorious arrival with the Central Park Conservancy’s Autumn in Central Park on Thursday, November 8 beginning at 6:30 at Central Park West and 67th Street. Dine and dance under a clear-ceiling tent next to the historic Tavern on the Green, with a beautiful nighttime view of the autumn tree canopy and twinkling stars up above. Even more important in light of recent damage from Hurricane Sandy, Autumn in Central Park will raise vital funds that benefit the Conservancy’s mission to restore and maintain the Park. The Event Chairmen are Kitty & Tom Kempner, Gillian & Sylvester Miniter, and Fiona & Eric Rudin. For more information, email the Events Department at [email protected] or call 212-446-2242.
For Festive Attire to wear to an evening event among the Park’s foliage, we couldn’t resist going green in this Ralph Lauren satin dress with festive sheen. Thanks to the amazing efforts of the Central Park Conservancy, the Park is truly a Garden of Eden, so we of course chose a belt and pumps with a serpent motif to highlight the connection. You’ll shimmer and shine the night away in verdant glamour in this classic ensemble with a serpentine twist and we added the long black gloves for an additional dose of evening allure. This ensemble is perfect for a fall wedding and for events throughout the upcoming Holiday Season.

While you may not have $1,000,000.00 to donate like the extraordinary philanthropist John Paulson, everyone can contribute to the tremendous effort in creating a haven of beauty and calm for the 40,000,000 visitors a year. Many people have the misconception that tax dollars pay for the preservation and upkeep of Central Park. In reality the Central Park Conservancy is responsible for 85% of the cost to maintain this jewel in the heart of New York City. Only with your generous support will the Conservancy be able to keep Central Park a beautiful place for leisure, recreation and the appreciation of nature for generations to come.
