The third annual Perfect Pink Party to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, “A Walk in the Park,” will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach beginning at 7pm with cocktails. Under the expert guidance of Gala Chairmen Mary & Mark Freitas and Ellen Levy, Honorary Chairmen Howard Bernick, Cynthia Friedman, and Nicki & Ira Harris, Young Friend Chairs, Event Committee, and Young Friends Committee, this incredible event will feature live entertainment from the Euphoria Band, a live auction with Auctioneer Thomas Quick, and distinguished guest Susan Ford Bales, as well as a seated dinner and dancing. Last year, more than 300 supporters from around the world joined Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, raising an unprecedented $1 million to further critical breast cancer research focused on reducing incidence and mortality within the next 10 years, as well as local outreach and awareness initiatives funded by the Komen South Florida Affiliate serving Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. We are thrilled to continue our significant support of the local community by providing a quarter of all funds raised to our South Florida Affiliate and the remainder of the proceeds to the best minds in breast cancer science, advocacy and national community outreach.
