This year I am headed to Palm Beach with my family to celebrate Thanksgiving. This is a first for me and I am looking forward to the warm weather. I am not sure about turkey and palm trees, or how to dress for what usually is a cold weather experience for me . . . so I chose a resort look for my Turkey Day. I plan on wearing the black and white Tibi dress that allows room for that extra helping of stuffing (my favorite!) . . .  and if after that I dare to put on my suit,  it will definitely be under this pretty VIX Kaftan. Gobble Gobble!”

Hilary’s Palm Beach Favorite Spots

Where to stay:  The Brazilian Court. A cozy hotel, walking distance to all the fabulous shops on Worth Avenue. And if you need your hair done for a night on the town, Frederic Fekkai has a salon in the hotel.

Shopping:  I love to stop by C. Orrico for fun fashion finds. Plus it is always a treat to catch up with the three Orrico sisters who always have the latest PB scoop. Next door is Sequin for chic affordable jewelry and also Rapunzel’s Closet which has all the trends. For the teenagers in the group, head across the street to Aristokids. For home I like to check out the Leta Austin Foster Boutique located off of Worth Avenue.

To Eat:  Buccan is a go to hot spot owned by my good friend Piper Quinn.  If that is packed, go next door to Imoto (little sister) for delicious Japanese and Asian flavors. Off of Worth Avenue I like Bice, there is nothing like sitting outside under an umbrella having a glass of Rose and watching the people go by. for a less formal Italian experience, Bistro Al Fresco serves the best thin crust pizza in town. Late night ..  you might just find me at Cucina, a restaurant by day and disco by night.

Exercise: To work off all these delicious meals I head to the Lake Trail. It is a beautiful place to run or ride. For a bit of culture The Flagler Museum is wonderful. And if you want to get off Island for an experience, the West Palm Green Market is filled with mouth watering delicacies and beautiful flowers.  But the best place of all is the beach, nothing soothes and lifts the spirit more than a walk with the sand between your toes and nothing but ocean as far as you can see.
