SAB Winter Ball

The School of American Ballet is hosting the 7th Annual Winter Ball on Monday, March 5th at the Lincoln Center David H. Koch Theatre with a Russian theme of high drama and glamour.  The dynamic Chairs, Diana diMenna, Julia F. Koch and Betsy Pitts are orchestrating the most glamorous black-tie ball, so generously sponsored by Van Cleef & Arpels.   On the elegant menu of events are cocktails, dinner, dancing and the piece d’occasion, a performance by the School’s Advanced students as SAB honors ballet’s Russian heritage.  It will be a spectacular celebration of classical ballet which began in Russia at the Imperial School of Ballet in St. Petersburg in the 1740s.  The proceeds from the Winter Ball enhance every aspect of the School’s extraordinary ballet training program helping provide scholarships to SAB students, as well as supporting faculty, maintaining world-class studios and offering vital student programs beyond the classroom. For more information on the Winter Ball contact the Special Events Office at (212) 769-6610.  For what to wear when you want to make a grand entrance at the David Koch Theater, we were inspired by the deep Russian Red of the invitation and went to Net-A-Porter to select this stunning Lanvin strapless and accessorize with a rich combination of black and gold.  The Van Cleef & Arpels dazzling jewels complete the look of extraordinary luxury and style.
