The Fund for Park Avenue Tree Lighting 2012

This SundayDecember 2nd, Park Avenue will twinkle with two and a half miles of holiday trees after a ceremony that begins at 6:30pm!   The Park Avenue Memorial Tree Lighting tradition was started after WWII by Mrs. Stephen C. Clark and friends, as a memorial to those who have died defending our country.  The illuminated trees on Park Avenue are made possible each year by contributions from the community to The Fund for Park Avenue. Gather on the front steps of The Brick Presbyterian Church on 91st and Park Avenue at 6:30 for words of remembrance and celebration from the Reverend Michael Lindvall followed by a round of rousing caroling with the entire community. Please Donate generously!

A dear friend of ours always has a super soiree following the Tree Lighting, and we wanted to be brightly trimmed. We love the chic look of red and black together; so festive for the holidays, and SAKS.com provided so many great choices. We paired two Santa-perfect sheaths with a fab Glamourpuss NYC Fur Funnel to keep you warm and stylish. Add a little interest with the Kelly Wearstler crystal pendant; such a trend this season. To keep your feet warm during the Lighting, we added a great pair of DVF boots, and just toss your shoes in your bag for the enchanted evening ahead.
