The School of American Ballet and New York City Ballet join together each December to co-host The Nutcracker Family Benefit. The cheery Chairs, Donna Archer Bommer, Monique Cunningham, Jenny Paulson & Alyssa Tablada have assembled this  festive family event which includes a Saturday matinee performance of the holiday classic George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® followed by lunch and a visit from Santa. The ballet performance features dozens of young students from the School who, along with the adult cast members, join party-goers to sign autographs and pose for pictures. Proceeds raised by The Nutcracker Family Benefit support the School’s scholarship fund and New York City Ballet and it’s education and outreach programs.

‘Tis the season for holiday luncheons and this one is one of the best and brightest, so why not add a little bling.  Each one of these spectacular sheaths can be dressed up or down, morning meeting to drinks gatherings, and each one of them is perfect for your holiday travel.  We had fun with accessories by Alexis Bittar, whose lucite designs cast a special sparkle.  For some fancy footwork, we chose elegant pumps by Givenchy and Jimmy Choo.  The ankle strap is such a updated classic, and if you keep the shade neutral, the strap doesn’t cut off your legs like a darker pair would do.   Wear now and right through the season into spring.
