On Tuesday, May 15, The Spirit of Achievement Luncheon will be held at the Rainbow Room.  It is the longest running benefit luncheon that raises funds for medical research and education. In 1953, a group of influential New York women were inspired by the dream of a new medical school that would welcome gifted students regardless of race, religion, gender or creed – a revolutionary concept at the time. They spearheaded a fundraising campaign that played a vital role in making the dream a reality.  Please join the flagship fundraiser as it honors an enlightened group of dedicated individuals while supporting the College of Medicine’s efforts to improve the health and quality of life to those they serve.  For more information or to purchase tickets, please go to Albert Einstein School of Medicine.

For what to wear to a Charity Luncheon, we took our fashion inspiration from the uplifting colors of the invitation.  Pink and florals are so of-the-moment that we easily found these two stunning sheaths (I admittedly hemmed the Lela Rose in photoshop.)  The accessories continue the theme of light and bright for spring.   A friend introduced me to Joan Oloff Shoes with patent pending technology.   Here shoes are designed to provide shock absorption, create support and, offload pressure points under the ball of the foot.  We say, “bring them on”, especially when they look this good!
